How we review

Every review is built from a corpus of independent sources — long-form video reviews and written criticism about the book — retrieved and checked before writing. We read each book on its own terms: we set out its core idea, examine the quality of its evidence, give the strongest criticisms a fair hearing, and say plainly who the book suits and who it does not. We do not give unconditional recommendations, and we flag publisher figures as reported rather than as fact.
